2020 Vision

Happy New Year & New Decade! As a token of my good wishes for you all for the coming year and a thank you for your continued support, I’ve placed a special little 2020 wish star out as a gift. Find it at my main store landing point (in front of the event board). Available for everyone, no group required.

I so appreciate all of you who have stuck with me through long absences, closings, reopenings, and a rebranding, and I welcome all of you who have just discovered my little corner of creativity. <3

If you’d like to know more about my plans for Widdershins, please read on.

I’m not a big brand, I still have a LOT to learn, and I’m not currently able to produce loads of new releases. Still, everything I make is made with love, and creating has been such a joy (even when it’s been tiring and frustrating!) and has become an increasingly important part of my life.

I’m looking forward to the next chapter!

Here are some of my goals and hopes for Widdershins over the coming year:

  • Along with some more regular gifts and group discounts, I hope to hold polls, raffles, and store events to make Widdershins a more lively and interesting place to be.
  • Get a VIP group with worthwhile perks off the ground. I’d love to hear more from you all and give you the chance to interact with me and have some influence on the development of the store.
  • Add to the non-store areas of my land. I own a decent chunk of mainland now, and my hope was always to create something fun to come and see/hang out. There are already a few little “Easter eggs” to be discovered in the main Widdershins build, and I want to add to those, and also expand the gallery and art garden I’ve been developing at ground level.

January is going to be very busy for me creating for Home Expo and a hunt that both begin in February, after which I’m planning to start tackling the above. Wish me luck!

More generally, I’m also hoping to finally have the time to develop the art side of things again. I have so many plans, I’m always in danger of spreading myself too thin, but this is something I really want to do.

As you may already be aware, I’ve created an “art alt.” Separating my work over an additional account makes sense to me from an admin perspective, and also gives me some space to grow something new with a different vibe from most of my original mesh work. However, I must admit I’ve been finding it a little confusing, and I’ve been struggling to find the time to properly sort it all out. If only I could clone myself as easily in real life! Hopefully, I’ll have some more news about that project before the start of the next decade..!

If you’ve carried on reading this far, thank you for sticking through my ramblings. It’s helped to write this and get some stuff out of my head!

Whatever plans you have for 2020, I hope you are able to realise them.

Wishing you every happiness!

Chia <3
